We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

worst
book i’ve
read in a while.
Although it’s not the worst I’ve read, it’s definitely not the best. The writing style was completely over the place. Sometimes the sentences was written fully, then sometimes it was ascending down the page.

There was almost no plot at all. All the characters had no specific relevance to the story, especially the ‘Liars’. They were supposedly meant to cause trouble, but they don’t. Cadence herself is sick, and of course she feels self-pity.

The only interesting characters in the book was Gat and Johnny.
Finding Audrey by Sophie Kinsella

While I found this book light-hearted and easy to read, there was so many problems with it.

Firstly, we never gotten Aubrey’s backstory. I gathered that she was bullied but we never got a real explanation. If Sophie Kinsella wrote about what happened to Aubrey, then I would be able to connect with her more. Another thing, why wear glasses all the time? There are so many questions I would like to know but I would never find out.

Secondly, most of the attention was focused on Frank. While Frank was my favourite character, there was nothing interesting in this character. None of the characters was remotely interesting, they all lacked originality.

first of all I would like to thank my mum for recommending this book to me.

secondly this book is so beautifully written and such a interesting plot. i love the two perspectives and how the author included LGBT. another thing i love is the plot twists, especially with who her father is and who ben is.

thirdly i cannot express how much i hated the maggie's. if i was amelia, I would want to punch them.

the reason why I didn't give this book a five star is because I felt like the ending was a bit rushed, espcially with how amelia died and if the author explained the relationship between zadie and amelia better. however i would definitely recommend this book.

even after rereading this book, i still love it as much as i did two years ago, if not more.

i have a lot of mixed feelings about this book.

i felt like i couldn’t connect with any characters and couldn’t invest all my concentration into reading this book. i didn’t even care about the characters or what happened to them.

though it was a quick read, i don’t think it’s an easy read in terms of words that John Green had used. most of the time I didn’t understand what was happening. while the representation of OCD and anxiety was good, the concept and story line lacked.
