Ah! last one in the series so far. A lot of action in this one. Not many answers as we are dragged back to the school and forced to find out who is still on our side. Heartbreak as a team member dies and the rise of a new enemy. The new one can't come out soon enough.

Yay! we are starting to get answers, not many but still, about who , not many but still, about who Avalon is and who started the curse. We also get a glimpse into why people are after and warping her mind. Though with the few answers we get, more questions pop up. I am so glad I found this series. I can't wait to see what happens next .

It seems like just when the story is getting good, or picks up the pace, the book ends and you have to move on to the next one. Again we are getting some answers, but even more questions. Who is the older brother? Why doesn't Amr know of him? If the twins are somewhat symbiotic, why didn't they realize it before despite the warped minds? If every time she was warped, why wasn't Amr warped as well? Those last two may just be plot holes though.

Overview: Isabel Raines is an author, and happily married to Marcus Raines living in New York City. Problem is Marcus Raines is not who he says he is, throwing Isabel's life into chaos. Everywhere she turns a dead body appears as she chases after her "husband." After a head injury and two hospital visits, on the lead of a dying man, she heads to Prague with best friend and marketing agent Jack. Hoping to find Marcus, she visits the orphanage where he grew up and lands in the man's clutches. Making a daring escape, and being shot, she is given many answers to her unending questions but never the answer burning inside her since the day her father died "why?"

Opinion: I love it, but kind of didn't like it at the same time. For instance, because we jump between Isabel, her sister Linda, the cop on the case and sometimes Marcus and a few others; the point of views get jumbled and it is hard to figure out who we are following. Then because of all the POV's we get a ton of back story for each character. While everything comes out in the wash, I think that a few things would have been best left out. That would help move the story along faster and maybe not leave the feeling of being rushed in the ending. I mean it took close to 300 pages just for Isabel to finally make progress. Other than that, the story was good and kept you very interested.

Overview: Shane is on his way home from his grandma’s funeral with his aunt when the world goes crazy. Animals start attacking his aunt for no reason. As he tries to get his aunt to safety, his crush comes to him with her little sister frantic. Her family cows attacked their parents, stomped them dead. Soon the trio find that everywhere adults are being mutilated by animals (domestic and wild) or turning on each other in big cities with low animal populations. Picking up a few more teenagers, and a bus load of elementary aged kids, they head south towards Atlanta looking for help at a military base. They find help, but not the kind they want. Tasked with a new mission to save the children of the world Shane and his friends must go deeper into the city, risk their lives to turn off the machine that started the craziness or kill each other.
Opinion: Awesome! It seems slow in parts, but definitely worth trucking through. Without giving too much away, there is a conspiracy theory out that resonates so much with this book it is scary to think that it might happen. If you like TWD or other action packed apocalypse movies/books you have to read it. There were a few plot holes but nothing too big, and the ending throws you for a loop. I can’t wait to read more!

Overview: Alcoholic, family abusing Chris has come home from the pub to find his oldest daughter and wife zombies. His eight year old daughter, hiding, follows him outside to find out about the apocalypse from a neighbor. In an effort to ditch his youngest, he pays for a sports car and starts their journey to granny's house in the country. Along the way they find trouble, doge many hungry zombies and have a spot of health issues. In the end they are still looking for a safe haven and a toll of Zombies killed: too many to count. Humans murdered: 1 and Human Mercy Killings: 2.

Opinion: For my second zombie book it was...just below ok. At first I wasn't sure of the surroundings because the description starts off as nice houses and become not so nice houses, like he goes from living in middle-class housing to ghetto housing. There were other inconsistencies and some poorly researched references. Unless the UK is father behind the times than the US, I could be wrong, but don't think so. Then there is the character himself, Chris. In the very beginning you think of him as the hero, you know he is the main character so he is supposed to be the good guy right? You learn very quickly he is nothing but an asshole who kind of deserves to be turned. It is an ok read but for the most part, just not my cup of tea.

Overview:The Full Moon Ceremony has finally arrived, and so has Tessa's birthday. As she celebrates and prepares to basically wed her mate Dastian, the witches roll in to spoil her big day. With the threat of war, she is forced to go live with the witches to avoid major losses. Once on the compound, she is cut off from society and her mate. Luciana (evil witch) breaches the terms of the contract keeping Tessa there, causing her to break out and start the war anyway.

Opinion: As great as the first two. We learn more about her witchy powers as well as go through the heartbreak of Tessa being separated from her true mate. Many twists and turns keep you reading and make it hard to put down. The ending wraps everything up, but also sets you up for the next two books in a superb way. I can't wait to tear through them! Fair warning, it will make you cry and want a hug from your mom.

Overview: Erik is a Viking from Denmark fighting England and Scotland to claim their lands for the Vikings. Linzi is a simple Scots woman living with her father and brother. As Erik moves his men closer, Linzi's brother takes up arms and her father falls ill. Erik is then hit by two arrows coming from his camp and rides his horse into the forest, coming out on the other side mere yards from Linzi's home. To defend her father and her land, Linzi goes to kill him.

Opinion: It's pretty good, but seems unfinished. It is portrayed as a romance book but there is no romance at all. It is mostly blood and death. Then it appears that Linzi kills Erik, who I think is the intended love interest. I know there is more to the series, but I can't call it a romance novella, nor can I recommend it as such. It is more of a slasher/thriller type and not at all what I expected. The author also makes sure to state it is a romance novella, and not erotica. Two facts that should be backed up by evidence that it is lacking in either department. Also something else that bugged me was the book takes place in the 800's but the soldiers would use the term "bloody..." which did not come about until the 1550's because of Queen Mary I. Throwing the whole illusion off.
