Noah is so romantic he’ll make you swoon. The only compliant I have is about the third act conflict, you know the one that leads to the reconciliation at the end. Yeah Chloe pissed me off so badly it messed me up for a couple chapters.

I cried. Didn’t expect to, but I did. This book addresses grief, terminal illness, and mental health full on. Maya and Jax’s relationship is one of the least shallow ones that I’ve read in a while. Not because they both had their demons on display throughout the book, but because they chose to love each other and build a future together knowing that shit is going to get ugly and that they’ll have no choice but to compromise. Jax’s line about being a broken mosaic that still proves to be beautiful is fitting.

I felt many emotions while reading this book. Different characters bring or different aspects of yourself. Loved the exploration of grief and taking control of one’s future. Sophie and Liam have their rough patches but are still so adorable. The phone s** scene…. wooooo

It’s a solid book. Kept me enthralled throughout and has a great cast of characters. This is a great way to start of a series. I don’t have anything bad to say about this title. The main characters, Maya and Noah, are both grounded which makes their POVs realistic and relatable. Spice is present but not super extensive.
