I found America a little untolerable but I will give her grace for being literally 17 years old. Anyway the entirety of this book was “I love Maxon” *Maxon pisses her off* “I’m leaving the palace and will marry Asher for sure!” *Maxon apologizes* “I love Maxon.” Every time Maxon & America are on solid ground, America fucks it up. BUT it was really really good don't get me wrong lol.

I read this one in 4 hours. This was my favorite one out of the original 3 Selection stories.

This is a reread. I originally read it in high school and then again a couple of years ago. At that time I rated it 5/5 but I would say it was a 4/5 this go round.

This was so well written and such a page turner! In the end, it seems as though the prize of the game is just the brothers being close again...

This book ends with all ends tied, so it’ll be interesting to see how the third book goes. The only downside is there are SO MANY TWISTS that it’s just thisside of being too many and leaving me bored.

I read this book as a teenager and then the full series a few years later, so I remembered the key points of this book pretty well and I think that’s what made it boring for me. It’s well written. Incredibly so. The world building is amazing and Cassia is flat - just as she’s meant to be - at first.

I simply can’t finish the series. Maybe I'm alone in this but after Ky & Cassia were separated for half the book, the fact that they're being separated again at the end of it doesn't sit well with me.

I was VERY ready for this series to be over by this book lol.

I'm very much Noah who - when presented with two options, to either kill Mara or Mara's brothers will die - creates a third option by offering to kill himself instead, which solves nothing ultimately, but same bro.

Please don’t ask any questions whatsoever about the plot as I was confused af.

4/5 stars bc the end pissed me off.

Mara seems slightly possessed, if I do say so myself.

HOWEVER need me a man like Noah who will literally throw someone into a killer whale tank just to get himself sent to the same insane asylum as his girlfriend *hair tuck* If your main AINT doing this it's a red flag.
