Super cute! Loved the (fake) national park setting and the message of unplugging now and then and thinking about your social media use.

This was a clean, very sweet romance.

I adore Kate Watson's rom coms and this one only solidified my love. It contained some of my favorite tropes, like friends to lovers and fake dating!

I also always appreciate the depth she adds to her books. Ash's desire to belong and not be judged for her quirks and differences was so relatable. And Rusty's determination to be better than his awful father was both admirable and heartbreaking.

So sad there is only one Jane left in this series, but I can't wait to read her story!

I know it was kind of the point, but I spent the majority of the book annoyed and angry at the main character and that is just not what I'm looking for in a book. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Good message overall, though.

Content warnings: anxiety, depression, suicide, language...

This was pretty depressing overall, but set during a period of history that I admittedly know very little about which was probably pretty depressing to live during, so... 🤷🏼‍♀️

I did read it very quickly for such a slow paced book. I definitely wanted to find out what happened to this family.

The ending was incredibly unsatisfying and I don't know if what happened was necessary. I think the book would have been just as powerful if things had gone differently at the end. But that's obviously just my opinion.

Ooooh, a middle grade dystopian novel? Yes, please!

This was really a lot of fun. The concept of a world without paper was an intriguing idea, especially when you add in the "plifters" - ie paper scavengers. The idea that paper (if it could be found) could be the most valuable thing in the world was a fun twist.

I loved the main character, Juni. She was caring, determined, and scrappy.

I only wished the world and plot had been a tad more developed, but it wasn't enough to bother me too much.

Oh. My. Stars.

This was a stunning conclusion to an incredible series! I was on the edge of my seat throughout. The twists. The turns. The adventure. The drama! The amazing and lovable huge cast of characters. I think I liked some side characters even more than the main characters and I'm not sorry.

I will definitely be rereading this series in the future. Chef's kiss.
