The Takeover by Cara Tanamachi

This was an enemy to lover book. They've known each other since school, but each thought the other was horrible and didn't like the other because of a misunderstanding. Now they are forced to work together to save the FMC company. In working together, they must deal with continued misunderstandings and see if they can trust each other.
I loved the witty banner between the two MC's and it assist with the slow burn and build up. You have a funny Spicy Ramen scene where they try to outdo each other and just end up miserable.

This was the first Sapphic book by this author and she did an amazing job. The characters are relatable and dialogue was witty and playful which helped diffuse the hard conversations. Getting into a relationship after having your hear broken is hard regardless how long it has been. I loved how they showed family isn't just about blood but those that opt to accept you for who you are. This was just a great feed good book with closed door spice.

Cute story dealing from the child view of life after divorce. Finding your own voice and living for yourself and no one else. How mental health can look different in real life vs on line. The book deals with you can be someone completely different online but the total opposite in real life. I love the sassy and witty banter throughout the book. The importance of not taking yourself to seriously. The importance of self love, self acceptance and self care. How mental health effects the entire family and not just the person dealing with the struggle.

This book was a little confusion because of the titles of the chapters, didn't necessarily match what was happening in the book. Also jumping from present events to the different email conversation, if you weren't paying attention you would get lost. Loved the witty banter from the start and the chemistry between the FMC and MMC was obvious from the start. It reminds me of written version of Big Bang Theory. I loved how the book addressed fatphobic comments and the FMC didn't allow it to bother her. Quick read, but you need to give this book your full attention of you'll be re-reading several parts.
