How to Marry a Lich by Lizzie Strong
5.0
I had heard so many awesome things about this book before I finally decided to read it myself. It totally lived up to the hype. The story was incredible, there was lots to keep me interested in the story, but it was the characters that kept me hooked. I loved the found-family aspect of this book so much. Kevin, Agnes, Smith! I love them all. They were all interesting and brought so much warmth to the book. I enjoyed learning a little bit about their pasts and how they related to the manor. I thought the world was also super cool, Victorian, but there are cell phones and cars! It was exciting and not something I had seen before.
The relationship between Sebastian and Dahlia is so dreamy. I love how she always smacked him anytime he was self-deprecating. I wanted to keep reading scenes between them all night; I just loved them together. Sebastian's love for her is top-tier and so swoony. Lich or not, the man can get it.

ARC Review!
I am always excited to read a tentacle romance ♥ This was a super cute book! I really loved Maris. She is a ray of sunshine even though she was lost and had no memory, she was so positive and happy! It really was the perfect pairing for Alex who was 100% a grumpy girl. I thought sometimes she was too grumpy and it came across as rude, but I also can understand my girl was going through a lot. Meeting a Kraken, finding out she has no memory, being sexually attracted to the Kraken, finding out the Kraken is your fated mate...I'll give her a break.
The story itself was super cozy and fun to me, pretty low stakes with very little violence. It was a perfect read for a cozy night at home. It had laughs and sweet moments, and a few spicy ones as well!
I will forever call my cats little baby men because they are little baby men.♥

I love it when the FMC is the monster! More FMC monsters, please ♥
I loved that Millie was living in a treehouse in the forest but was wearing little dresses and stilettos. She is pretty cute. Very sassy. She was my favorite part of the book.
Horus is a bit of a socially awkward nerdy scientist. I didn't understand how he wasn't more on top of the things going on in his life. How did he never question the pregnancy with Amber? He blacked out and never thought to ask anything. Not even for a DNA test? And The whole deal he made with the father, I didn't get why Horus, a scientist, didn't bother to be more thorough and read every bit of documentation. It was frustrating because a lot of the plot felt like he was..just very not on top of it, lol. I thought it was admirable that he was willing to step up with Amber when he thought the kid was his. The plot jumped around a bit for me, and I never connected with the other MCs. I thought Horus was a little judgemental and mean sometimes.

Bigfoot, SIR! I absolutely loved all the spicy dirty bits of this book. The dirty talk...oh my!
Sactch was such a big sweetheart. I liked that he realized the whole fated mate thing was a lot for a girl to handle, and the way he was immediately over the moon for Bay! He tried so dang hard to ease into things and keep Bay without just grabbing her and running for the hills lol. Bay was a sweetheart, with all her nervousness! It was really touching how she connected so well with his family and wasn't judging them against human standards (because they aren't human). I thought this was such a fun read, and I really appreciated no drama for the sake of drama! I am so interested in the other cryptids in this world too. Hopefully, we get to meet the others soon!

"But the more he pushes me away, the more I want to swim against the current right back to him."
I was completely hooked, like, two pages in. I sat down reading it, and I literally did not stop until I was done. I got nothing done this morning. I loved this book. I was laughing and crying and just so captivated by this story! If this is as far into my review as you read, that's fine-Go read this book! Add to TBR!
The banter in the beginning between the MCs was everything; Jules is so ridiculous; I love her. There were a few dark/depressing moments in this book and really serious topics were talked about (albeit briefly; please always check CW/TW♥). I like that the book was never too dark or sad where I wanted to put it down. We got a best friend, Kate, and she was one of my favorite little parts of the book. What an amazing friend! I love that she gave her friendship unconditionally, especially since Jules needed it. (also, let's talk about a book for Kate, PLEASE)
I always like to touch on the spice in a review. Let me tell you... Mack is filthy. Jules is filthy. It is glorious. They are so good together, and I hope you read this and fall in love with them too.
I still have a few little questions (why are we turning into fish? Can someone please turn me into a fish? How do I get to the fish-friendly universe with my own Mack? Please, thank you!) but overall, this book was 5/5!

Get ready; this book is out of this world ridiculous-in the best way♥
Don't go into this trying to make sense of the premise-its an Earth peen!
I loved this; it was a smutty, sweet, silly good time. I really liked the story; I was laughing, picturing a round table with, like, top scientists and leaders sitting there while they planned how to get the Earth off. The ending was so sweet, and I liked that our FMC got a HEA. I mean, everyone did!
Idk how she comes up with these ideas, but I loved this :)

Right on Time by Marian Pattechat
I thought the premise of this book was super cute, and the cover sold me (I love great book covers!)
Chloe and Nitiel were sweet. I like how hard Nitiel tried to stick to his duty and push Chloe away. It was cute watching him struggle. I loved Chloe not letting some AI decide for her and how much she was willing to fight for her right to choose her future. She worked hard for her business dream, and I like that she never gave up on it just because she supposedly had a mate.
I wasn't sure where the plot was going with the AI Mates and the Commander, but I started suspecting, lol. It was a little surprise, but the MCs nearly died in all the stuff happening, and I would have been way more upset had I been in their shoes.
IDK how I felt about the expected modesty that the aliens had for the Earth women. I feel like everyone should have a choice, but I wouldn't say I liked that they acted like her walking around in a dress that went to her knees was scandalous.
Trixie was a side character, but I found her to be hard to love; she felt very childish, always yelling about her sexual escapades and calling her mate cutesy nicknames. She got into a friendship with Chloe like they'd known each other for decades, and maybe that threw me a bit. She wasn't mean or anything and genuinely was there to be Chloe's friend. I just didn't love her. I liked Trixies mate, who seemed normal and who was trying to do his best.
We don't get to see the alien planet, but the space station seemed SO cool, and I wanted to hear more about the cute, weird animals and funky-colored flora. I would really pink grass on my lawn.
I'd love to know about the earlier mates' setup or maybe even the story of Nitiels' parents. The world was set so that this could be made into a series! I think this was a cute story, and I'm looking forward to seeing other stuff from the author.

This series is so good! I don't have all the words to convey how much I love it, but this series makes me so happy. They are cozy, sweet, and adventurous stories, and I am always rooting for the couple (like, who isn't).
Sworn enemies, war, and language barriers, as nothing gets between these two in the end. I love that they are both like, so weirded out by their attraction in the beginning. I don't want to give any spoilers, but if you are on the fence about reading this, do it. You won't regret it!
