Also, experimental: the novel is introduced as a printed and edited version of journal found in the rubble of what is left of a house in the wilderness. The editor notes adds a second layer to the story.

Western, particularly french, ennui and that french existentialism always lurking in the background, completely focused on the individual. A pretty straight forward contemplation on the subject as changing and formed by events - the "me" as plastic, as changing through time. 

Easy read, not flawed, but not really anything special either.
