Very NSFW 🥵
What do you get when you combine work rivals, a tropical leadership retreat/vacation, and one room (with one bed) - a good time! Nisha has written a truely fun rom com that will have you laughing and screaming.
Not Safe For Work brings work enemies Tris and Rafe to Hawaii for a work leadership retreat. Right away the tension is high between the two as a room mix up leaves them sharing a room for the 3 week trip. The story has highs and lows as Tris battles the toxic white men in her workplace and finding her passion. Nisha offers a lot of Tris’s thoughts, using colorful descriptions to her feeling which are unfortunately pretty relatable. I wish the book was dual pov to get a look into Rafe’s perspective during their story. Overall a fun and enjoyable romcom perfect for anywhere but work!
Thank you to Nisha Tuli and Forever Publishing for an advance reader copy of NSFW! All opinions are my own.

Plus-sized hockey romance! Sign me up ❤️
Sven follows Natalie and Sven (obviously) story - Natalie is a now-fired kindergarten teacher who has some pent up anger and is in need of a fresh start. Sven is your standard playboy hockey player who has a surprise show up at his door in the form of a 6-month daughter. Seeing Sven change from the playboy in the beginning chapters of the book to a committed father was super satisfying! Throughout the book both Natalie and Sven lean on each other as they discover their feelings for each other and learn to cope and heal from their past. I really enjoyed having a plus-sized FMC whose size wasn’t shoved in your face as many plus-sized characters are, it was a breath of fresh air to have her just exist as a person, who is in a bigger body.

The final book in The Ruinous Love Trilogy follows Rose and Fionn’s story. I loved getting their backstory after getting glimpses in the first two books. I wish we got a little more of Fionn’s history, I want to know more about this broody doctor!

Please read the trigger warnings before reading. This is truely a dark fantasy! Book two in this series has a lot of dark themes and doesn’t hold back in any way. It also introduces a whole new realm which I found pretty confusing to be thrown into without any background, especially with how much was given in the first book. I’ll be curious what book three brings!

This was a fun read, but the world building was hard to follow until 60% of the way through. There are a lot of people and places thrown in that it got a little confusing. But once it all clicked, this was a great time!

The perfect cozy mystery! A Victim at Valentines follows Annie as she tries to unravel the mysterious death of a beloved community member. This is a very face paced book with a shocking end! It was fun to see the detective work and deduction of the murderer through Annie’s eyes, it’s like you were solving the mystery with her!

🥵😭💀 no notes. I devoured this book and I’m not sure how I’m suppose to wait until the next book. This gives Fourth Wing meets Hunger Games meets Game of Thrones. It’s so heart wrenching good!! With fated mates, hidden powers, found family, morally grey mmc, massive direwolves and vampires, honestly what more can you ask for in a book. I’m so excited to read more of Meryn’s story as a strong FMC!

The perfect book for Valentine’s Day! ❤️ I Can Be the One follows Alexis and Blake as they enter a contest for their school’s cutest couple, only problem is they aren’t a couple, yet! This is a fast read, friends to lovers, a little insta-love, and he definitely falls first. There are a lot of hard topics touched on throughout this book which I appreciate, however there is almost too much happening that some scenes feel rushed and details left out. I’m definitely left with a few questions, which Ellie has pointed out was an intended move for the next book. So I have to pick up the next book to know!

Standard Freida McFadden thriller, unfortunately I found the ending to be anticlimactic. And the nickname Tegan gave her baby, “Little Tuna”, uhh what. I found Tegan to be pretty childish and Hank/Polly to just be overly odd. I did enjoy reading the story from Tegan and Polly’s POVs and how they varied.

The perfect cozy mystery full of laughs, skeletons and murder! Finlay is back with her nanny/partner in crime Vero and unfortunately sucked into another murder. Book five in this series finds Finlay in a tricky spot as she tries to untangle the mystery. This is a perfect blend of mystery, hilarious banter and a little romance!
