Oh this was fresh. This story had me gripped by my lapels and strapped up ready for a war over the corpse of god(?)
An honestly original story that had the power of Christ (?) compelling me to finish the story.
BUT. This is not YA. Yes it’s not smutty but if there are multiple references to the MMC having a hard on and that vague time of description for intercourse then NO. It is not YA. Stop trying to say it is YA.

Well to start off with I devoured this book in under 24 hours so safe to say I was addicted.
I was nervous about how Fionn could stack up against his brothers but honestly this is the type of Credence situation I would round house kick my grandma for.
Rose is the most humbling but enthusiastic unaliver to walk the earth and I love her gusto. Barbara is an icon. The suture sisters are goals.
Everything about this book was a chefs kiss and honestly HOW AM I MEANT TO MOVE ON.
This was the most romantic book of the series with so much longing and heartbreak that I simply had to yeet some childhood memories to make room for this story to fossilise into my soul.
Brynne has a way with humour that sends me off the deep end into hysteric cackles every time. I love the way the story builds tension in the not- romantic arc but that only gets amplified by the longing these two express.
I love this book. I love these characters. I love this series.
Thank you to Hachette for an ARC of my most anticipated read of 2025. Big kisses for you.

Elise Kova knows how to COOK. Especially fantasy worlds. The magic system in this book is elite. CHEFS KISS. Beautiful. Deep. Immersive. But not dense. I found myself moving through fight scenes like I was in my own FMC training montage.
We have the reliable tension and angst elements which are just fleshy enough to give me what I want while also not spoiling the whole meal for me.
She is not what I would call a spicy author. It’s the type of writing I compare to VE Schwab in that you get tension, longer and list but not penetration. WHICH IS FINE. BUT Arcana Academy delivers with a bit more of a white pepper hit to the spice level.
I was personally glad to be here for every second of this book and cannot wait to see where this goes.
Thank you to Hodderscope for approving me on NetGalley for the latest fantasy masterpiece by Elise Kova.

I feel like my soul has been dried out. Somehow this book has dehydrated every cell I possess and I am so glad it’s over.

A satisfying conclusion to the trilogy that has left me reflecting on all things beautiful and difficult about life and death.

Ali. Baby. Honey. Sweet Angel. Are you kidding me. LIKE BE SO FOR REAL RIGHT NOW. Who gave you the audacity to go out and transform my brain from “sports are disenfranchising for couches” to HEAVILY invested in Olympic pool sports. I swear to god I did not need another hyper-fixation. I wasn’t in the budget. But here we are and I’m shaved, stripper pole waxed and READY TO GET WHET BB. I feel hot. I feel sweaty. Things are moist and it’s not distressing.
And yeah! I CRIED. WHAT OF IT. IM JUST A GIRL. I loved every bit of this story. I want to negotiate my own list. I want to learn Swedish. I want to go hiking. I want to inward dive. I want to write formulas on his hand which he keeps for good luck.
This book was scrumptious. I was fed. I was on the journey. I was with Scarlett every second and then to be seen. Like SEEN (capitals intentional) like that. That old chestnut “to be loved is to be known”. I AM IN FACT NOW A PUDDLE.
I am so happy for the amount of little deaths she had and I just know he had a hydrate on standby because my guy knows after care and is not remotely phased by the blubbering messy collective that we are.
Thank you to Hachette for this Proof Copy. Safe to say it was a SPLASH HIT. (I am so sorry I can’t stop)

oh my word this book had me by the throat. The tension. The angst. The intrigue. The betrayal. The dicking down. MY GOD. Slay.
It took me a minute to get into it but that is not the books fault. I started to read it over NYE like an absolute floozy and was distracted by literally anything else. BUT once I actually opened the book I was hooked.
I loved the resolution that we got and that the characters stayed true to themselves.
THE SANDWICH. God. Yes. Sweet sassy malassy when I say dicking down I do mean DICKED DOWN. Sensational. Loved every minute.
Thank you to Clare and Haus of Fables for the ARC of this book. I am so sad it’s over but never been happier to finish 😉

Clare Sager is quickly becoming one of my favourite romantic fantasy authors.
Not only did this book deliver the healing, the evolution, the journey I was craving after the reveals of book one. Not only was the magic and lore so immersive and captivating that I was fully in it. BUT GOD DAMN. IS THIS THE BEST SHADOW DADDY TO EVER SHADOW DADDY?
DIVING INTO BOOK 3 NOW BABY
