I know the interludes are important to the overall story of the series but I find them so boring.

Interesting. Sometimes though the author felt a little too judgmental of people. And the narrator for the audiobook did accents for people that I felt wasn’t necessary.

If you like people just talking to each other for hundreds of pages then this series is for you! Honestly just lots of talking and lestat just standing there, narrating… I don’t really get this series. The characters seem to change from book to book and I can’t see any through line to try them together besides lestat. However, there are hilarious moments in this series that the audiobook really captures. Will probably continue the series just to see.,

This book should be called the vampire lestat, the vampire Armand, and the vampire Marius.

I find this series so frustrating because the author builds to things but there’s no payoff. Characters just know how to do magic but we really aren’t seeing them work on that, they just know when it’s convenient. Also, this series is so convoluted; people changing bodies, so many characters. I just do not think this series is enjoyable and written well enough to justify continuing.

Beautifully written! I thought this was a memoir though and was a little confused.

I do think there are a few problems with this series, particularly with the character work of the main character. However, I do find it enjoyable. I can overlook the flaws because I did like the ending and thought the bittersweet way the author ended the series was very good.

Honestly excellent! I think the author excelled in their mission to make the girls feel alive and to catalogue their journey.
