I just cannot get past how bad the writing is. Already found a few errors.
Bad bad. I can’t do it.

I can’t get enough of these books.
I cried so much throughout this one, so much emotional turmoil, guilt, sadness. It got to me.
And the end…. So many betrayals and reveals. It was incredible and had be sobbing toward the end.
I can’t wait for the next book.

I liked this book. It was fun, easy and quick read. Cool world and concept.
Things that knocked it down a point:
Repetitive phrases to describe her “intuition”, and I she doesn’t need to run her teeth over her lower lip a thousand times. I just found it annoying but it definitely isn’t a deal breaker. I was invested the whole way.
I also think something was really missing in the Grady relationship aspect. I just don’t feel compelled to care about him at all and I think that’s going to affect things as the second book comes along.
Thorne is a presumptive ass and I absolutely loved him.

Very tense in the beginning, the middle drags and then the end is intense.
I enjoyed the read, so glad I don’t have to wait for onyx storm 😂

This book took me by surprise.
It is slow, but in a good way.
Dianne is a fierce, sassy bad aas and I want to be her when I grow up.
Liam is a complicated brooding badass and I want to be him when I grow up.
The banter was top tier. The slow burn was perfection.
I hate Kaden with a blazing passion, Amber Nicole really designed the perfect hateable villain.
Cannot wait to read the next one.

Wow.
What a ride.
Dark and atmospheric, creepy as hell, mysterious and interesting, all with a side of sexiness.
I will say I knocked a star down for the writing. It wasn’t awful by any means but it was awkward sometimes with the use of words like “hella” and a mistake I found toward the end with the author using the wrong name.
Otherwise it was a really well thought out mystery that had me going “WHAT THE FUCK WHAT THE FUCK!” Multiple times.
I will definitely read more Karina Halle!
