I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Ali Hazelwood has my heart. She did lose it with check & mate. I had serious doubts coming into this book after reading that but Bride has went above and beyond my expectations. I really did enjoy this read. In my other review I pointed out how the dual perspective is subtle but still a nice touch.
I will be honest, I thought Alex was going to be the one to betray Lowe not mick so that was out of left field for me. Also did not see Serena being half were. I don’t know if I necessarily loved that whole plot with her but I can see why it would be necessary to get misery to marry Lowe.

1. Way too much sex in this book and not enough of a real plot. It simply wasn’t long enough for the amount of sex scenes to actual storyline. 2. I hated the dialogue, I’ve read few things cheesier. 3. What I did like is that it was a palate cleanser from CC3 and has made me want to immediately read something better. Also I literally could only picture Vin Diesel from the Pacifer as August.

I was soooooo uninterested in this entire book. I struggle to understand characters who are 30+ in age I think. Seemed very boring and I didn’t like the switch perspectives and the flashbacks

I felt like nothing ever really happened in this story.  All those pages and nothing was ever that deep

I really enjoyed this. Sometimes it was so frustrating that they wouldn’t get together

I really do enjoy all of this book series. I think that Lucy score does a really good job at letting us know the characters in different ways. Even if I was not liking Lucian in that moment when I saw his perspective it made me realize more. Seriously my only issue with the book is that I hate the “country talk” that she writes. It is very overdone. And I don’t like the nicknames that they all have for their women. He calls her pixie and it was only really mentioned once on why. Same for Knox calling Naomi daisy. She literally ran away from her wedding ofc she’s going to have flowers in her hair
