This book hits pretty much all my boxes: an extremely gay magical mystery set in a sort of alternative history b/c magic timeline. It's an incredibly textured, fun read. I want dozens more books like this one.

I enjoyed this book, it's probably my favorite of the Daine books. Dinosaurs! But it also makes me incredibly uncomfortable. Numair's talk with Kaddar about not leading Daine on and the way he waves away any kind of accusation of impropriety and his comments about her turning into a young lady, it's very hard not to read as grooming.

Fun, interesting book of medical hoax trivia.

Very enjoyable, cozy novel.
