This book was exactly what I wanted it to be. It had everything I needed, it felt true, real. I cried 3 times. What a perfect ending.

This is a truly interesting world. I don’t know that I’ve read anything quite like it. But I will say parts of this book felt very rushed. I felt the relationship was extremely rushed.

The action/plot of this also felt like it was sprinting in places where it was almost difficult to keep up. I found myself having to turn back and go “wait, how did that happen”. But then there were bit where nothing was happening at all. It was oddly paced at times.

The story is told in the present tense which took a bit to get used to for me.

But overall this was enjoyable and I’m excited to read on.

I enjoyed this book. It’s very low fantasy, but the world is very interesting. I love this seemingly mysterious bridge that helps this otherwise hurting nation keep itself afloat. I did feel like things weren’t completely flushed out though. I had a hard time picturing or understanding why everyone had to use this Bridge Kingdom. Like yes there are storms and such but it seems like people did get around them? Idk.

Even though a lot of time passed in this book, I don’t know that I believe the love declarations. He doesn’t really know her and from what I personally read, they didn’t seem to have a lot of conversations or anything really to get to love when it was first said. I believed it more toward the end.

I did enjoy their relationship though. It felt 90% of the time to develop in a way that was believable.

I think the books ended in an interesting place and I’m extremely interested in moving to book two.

This was a great ending to a series. Things were wrapped up, there was heartache and there were twists. Overall this was a superb series.

The one this I will note is there are a lot of grammatical errors in this book. It got me quite a bit.

Overall this book was a good conclusion of the story. I did find Inez extremely annoying at times with her naiveté that really showed her age. It was extremely frustrating watching her fall into the same situations over and over.

The adventure in this was good. I cared more about it than the relationships which is extremely unlike me. But this was a fun little romp.

This was fun! I loved the mystery. The FMC irritated me sometime because she was so trusting and naive. And some of the other characters reactions to things seemed overly dramatic to me.

The world building could have been a little better. There is a fantasy element to this book but it’s so minimal it feels like it’s not needed.

I’m definitely going to read on in this series.

This was as much fun as the first. I love the action rom-com feel with just the slightest hint of fantasy. I feel like the progression of the characters and relationships is perfectly paced.

I still say if you love The Mummy, you should read this.
