WOW. This book was gripping, bittersweet, and poignant. I loved it. So much. The ending just wrapped me up in a hug, and the lesson was one that hit me like a sucker punch during this time in my life.
The truth is, God is like a million suns, and the Darkness is only a mouse. How epic is that? This book really helped me.

This was the first book I EVER read by myself. :) I also read it aloud to a dog who came to the library for an event thingie.

Awful book. A pathetic attempt to be speculative and deep, but ended off snarky, dumb, and laughable. Heartless. Cheap. Trashy.

I could see the author was trying to show that both sides of the war had their reasons, and everyone was human... But I found the book rather annoying.

A few years ago, I was obsessed with this book. No lie. I brought it with me everywhere. Read it again and again. Loved it.
If I can give any advice- leave it where it is. Sure, it has 3 voluminous books after; don't. do it. Personally, I found the next books a horrid waste.
Eragon was interesting, sharp, and neat. The other books fell flat.

Whew. Wow. One word: Nah.
After Eragon, I expected things to be pretty epic. Eragon was great! But Eldest was.... dull. Overloaded. Dumb. The characters all tumbled. The story tried so hard to be epic, it just became boring and irritating.
