Hotshot Doc by R.S. Grey

Incredible
I seriously have no idea how she does it. Every book I read, I think, "This is her best work yet." And then, because I'm completely obsessed, I go back and RE-READ books and again, think, "Nope, this is the best!" You really can't go wrong with any of Grey's work. Every single page of Hotshot Doc is chock full of enough humor to make you pee yours pants. Bailey is feisty, adorable, and hilarious. I truly want to be her best friend. I LOVE her and Josie's relationship. Like big love. Matt is totally a swoon worthy asshole that will steal your heart quicker than I can eat a sleeve of Oreos. All around, amazing book and fantastic characters.

Brilliant
I'm a huge fan of Colleen's work. Leading up to this book, I heard talk amongst the beta readers and bloggers about how dark this book was, but I still didn't know what I was in for. This is nothing like anything Colleen has given to us before, but it's still incredibly brilliant. I'm so happy she didn't shy away from publishing this book, even though it's not what her readers are used to seeing. I loved everything about it. The plot is very unique, but it feels like she meticulously pulled together every single detail to make it believable. I was intrigued the entire book; I could barely put it down in anticipation of what was to come. The characters were some of the most real characters I feel Colleen has ever written. They were flawed, and sometimes so awful that I had to take a few deep breaths and picture a herd of unicorns frolicking in a field of wildflowers, in order to continue. There was no sunshine or rainbows. There was pain and trauma and tragedy at every turn. There really is no other word to describe this book other than "brilliant." As much as I love Colleen's other work, I feel like she really has a calling for the dark and twisted and I hope to see more from her in this genre!

Good read
I originally wasn't leaving a review of this book, simply because I am terrible at reviews. However, as I was reading through the other reviews on Goodreads, after having read the book myself, I was really bummed out at all of the low stars. I greatly disagreed with many of the reviews, so I thought I'd leave my opinion too.
For me, this book delivered exactly what I was expecting. I loved the telling from every woman's different standpoint. It built the excitement and suspense for me to have to wait for the continuation of each woman's story, as I read through the next. Yes, a lot of it was predictable, but I didn't find any of it outlandish or unbelievable. When it comes to suspense books, I think a lot of people lack the ability to turn off their own life and ideas and completely immerse themselves in the writing, which makes it difficult for them to keep up with the drama. I think that's something that maybe the low reviewers have encountered with this book. However, that's just my two cents.
This was definitely a page turner for me. Even though some things were predicable, where the story was leading, wasn't, and I did find myself surprised a few times. This was my first Katie Sise book, but I think she did a great job on her first adult novel and I'm intrigued to read more from her.
