If you like the romantasy formula in urban environments, this has a solid heist backbone (though the intermediary heist was far better than the initial one), and tolerable characters. The smut only kind of makes me cringe even.

I feel like I learned 50% of the world fair information from a 60 minute architecture tour of the city, which was far more interesting. Good research, interesting presentation of intertwining historical figures, but so slow. There's plodding, but I think sometimes this crawled out of the ground and just shambles.
