A Beach Wish by Shelley Noble

There are so many characters you can’t keep up. Every chapter is a new person’s perspective but you wouldn’t know that because there’s no headers. I didn’t realize Dulcie was a dog until 40 pages until the end. There’s too many sub plots and fighting within the town to understand what’s happening.
Those Other Women by Nicola Moriarty

This book is perfect for women ages 24-35! Moriarty perfectly highlights the sometimes petty and trivial social battle between mothers and child free women. She invests you into the characters’ lives so you understand the squabbles between these 2 groups. Quick read!
The Death of an Ambitious Woman by Barbara Ross

The book is fine for a short murder mystery. The murder is solved in about the last 8 pages. I finished it in a day because it was short, not because it was a page turner I couldn’t put down. The characters are developed which is appreciated.
Flying Solo by Linda Holmes

I was expecting more of a mystery but it was good! The characters are developed and the story is lighthearted. A sweet new read!
On Rotation by Shirlene Obuobi

For medical students this may be a good novel to remind you you’re not alone. As a friend of medical students, it’s a novel of all the woes my friends complain about. You learn the characters well so if you’re looking for an early 20s story of friendship, love and work, this is for you. Being 24 it felt like talking to an old friend I hadn’t heard from in months updating me on their life issues without asking about mine (if you know you know). Honestly, I didn’t feel compelled to keep reading until chapter 21 which is nearly the end of the book. Kudos to Dr. Obuobi on her first book!

It’s familiar of a book I would’ve read in middle school and brings the small town mystery escape I needed to heal my inner child. You get attached to the family and want to know what happens in their futures. The end of the book leaves the reader guessing what exactly transpired so many years prior.
