This book is such a good time and I love how it uses and plays with the typical mystery book tropes.

The characters are interesting, the plot is interesting, the writing style is consistent and funny. Sherry is such a fun and complex character and the honesty of the story is refreshing.

I would recommend this book to everyone.

THIS BOOK IS CULT SHIT!!!
If you choose to read it please be aware that the methods with which the cats interpret and how they treat their customers is the same as how cults bring in new followers. I have no problem with astrology. But please know that astrology will not solve your life problems or give you all the guidence that you will need in life.

That said, this book is boring

THIS BOOK IS A HORROR!

I'm glad this book exists and I think we should all read it. Just to be reminded of the power of women and how patriarchy hurts us so many different ways.

The style of the writing is beautiful. I love the intentionality with which it was written. I could hear how much thought went each sentence.

I would not say that I enjoyed this book but it definitely kept my attention and I am grateful that someone has finally pointed out the flaws the story is devoted to.

This book is a mindfuck. Its interesting and weird. It's like a mental ice bath.
I recommend this book to philophic people just so I can hear their perspectives. There is so much to sort through because this MC- few have made me feel so confused and angry and defeated. Which is the point.

Frances Hardinge has yet to disappoint me and this is the third book of hers that I've read. I love her style and how devoted she is to her world building and characterization.

Twilight Robbery is even more involving than Flytrap was and the characters really shine throughout the story now that they were well setup. Its impressive how Hardinge tells the majority of the story from the perspective of a 12/13 year old, stays true to Mosca's personality, and manages to make the plot as complicated and nuanced as she does.

I love how political the story is without being too on the nose or clumsy whole also make the heart of the chosen philophies clear. I love how Hardinge drew out the mindset and emotionality of the characters so that the reader can truly understand the problems that made the city the way it was. And it does all this while being entertaining, funny, and easy to read.

I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys complex plots, political intrigue, and adventure. It's a story for all ages but a wonderful start to educate children on the heart of politics.

I did not enjoy this book.

It was boring and annoying in my opinion. I didn't enjoy the characters and the little bits of philosophy that crept through the story were too vague and childish to be interesting. The mage character, her name is stupid, is annoying and her relationship with her griffin is, despite all the effort Thorne put in to make it okay, is grooming and enslavement. They should have left the griffins nonsrntient.

The relationship between the main characters is drenched in modern concepts and it makes their dynamic insufferable to read.

HOWEVER: this book just wasn't written for people like me. I can see this story being relaxing and comforting for many readers.

I would recommend this book to new fantasy readers who read to relax rather than to stimulate their minds.
