I guess I forgot to write a review when I read this with my older son. My youngest is enjoying the series with me now. We got in a lot of reading since he was sick the past 2 days.

Finished this a couple days ago and started the next. Andrew seems excited that there are 12 in the series.

Horace and Will travel to Celtica, without Halt, and Cassandra/Evelyn is introduced and Skandians.

It was better than the last one. Still a book for boys though. Going to keep reading them because my husband is convinced that I will like the later books.

Book 2 of the rangers apprentice although not as good as the first book still a great read. Lots more action but still plenty of character development. This book starts shortly after the last one finishes and focuses on Will and Horace.

Another fun instalment. My son is thoroughly hooked - has me reading #3 to him already.

Classic sword and sorcery and little bit “coming of age”. Fast paced and fun.
