Just super half assed all around. Like was ready to be a one star level hater because it really felt like this man’s magical sex was gonna cure her ed, and I’m glad that they at least tried to move away from that, but then there’s like the weird plot twist with her brother knowing Hayes (also if her brother was his number one fan how did she not know what he looked like…) and the proposal was the least enjoyable book proposal I have read in awhile lol

Sorry I couldn’t do this. I bought this book after seeing some TikTok’s about it then completely forgot about it. Decided to randomly read it and I’m disappointed. Tell me why he was cooking her breakfast and they were already kissing on the first day they met each other?! They were already acting like they were in love. Like please… you just met 3 seconds ago.

so this book. started out strong, read it through in a few hours. i liked hayes’s inner monologue, but i couldn’t care less about aeris. The dialogues were too long, they were a little overly understanding (to each other and to their parents too). it was really sudden that both of their father’s appeared. and the spicy scenes were not the best either. but the hockey vibes remain unmatched for me.

ps: i wanted to like it bc of the not-skinny female heroine and i wanted to feel seen in the spicy scenes but it was disappointing too.

im not even sure i have the willpower to read the second book.
