This is my re-read as I’m watching Jane the virgin again for the 500th time and wanted to read Janes book. I’m so glad that it was actually published and we got to read his her happily ever after would’ve gone if Michael hadn’t died

As a really big fan of the TV show Jane the Virgin I was extremely excited that Jane's fictional book was published. Following closely to the story line of Jane the Virgin, set in early 1900s Miami Josephine must chose between detective Martin or hotelier Rake, with whom she's expecting a child. But love is not the only thing that Josephine is worried about with crime lord Sin Sombra on the loose terrorizing the town. A really fun, sweet read with really endearing characters.

2.5 rating if I’m gonna be honest
It is a cute story but it follows the exact same plot as the tv show which is fine but because I know what’s gonna happen, it was not exactly a page turner. I feel like if Jane and Michaels story was told from a more fantasy sort of retelling I would have been more invested. I do love that it was HEA ending at least cause that is not how it went in the show. Overall probably won’t read this again

Great for fans of the show, but maybe not for everyone.

A lot of fun if you have seen Jane the Virgin, but if not probably very cheesy. A delicious and fast read.

I liked it, because it’s basically the story of the show but with a happy ending. I also liked how it sparked memories of different parts of the show. With that being said I knew what was going to happen ‘cause I watched it so I wasn’t gripped.
