Definitely not as good as the others in this series! It felt very repetitive, the antagonist and his “team” fell very flat for me, and there was a lot of Child’s personal religious/political stance mixed in. Love Jack Reacher, but I had to force myself to finish this one.

Another thoroughly engaging read! The ending might have been a bit over the top, but still a fun read.

Probably my least favourite Reacher novel so far. the plot seemed to drag without much happening, then all of a sudden everything was over and the book ended.

LP says don't read it.

It's now clear that there are two kinds of Reacher novels: the kind where he's out in the world interacting with lots of people and props; and the kind where he's stuck in some hermetically sealed small town with nothing but his wits and a female friend. This is a clear example of the latter type. Surprisingly little real "action", and a setting in one of the most empty parts of the country.

All thing considered, this was a pretty good book. The writing wasn't great, but the characters and the plot were both interesting enough to keep you reading. Plus, Reacher is a badass.

If you like books that are drawn out for 500 pages with detailed descriptions of every location, this book is for you. I read it to the end so I could find out how it resolved. I learned I don't care for these types of books.
