Fun page shapes which adds extra appeal. And so wonderful to see Earth portrayed as a woman of color.

Gorgeous illustrations and a great message about the importance of our friend Mother Earth. The story is nice-it imagines Mother Earth and her different actions through the seasons. But the real winner here is the illustrations. I love the organic shapes, flowing lines, and the gorgeous choice of color. And of course the kids were more than pleased at the peek through pages, while I appreciated the creativity of each changing element of the illustrations.

One of the most gorgeous, joyful picture books I have picked up in ages!

This is beautifully illustrated, and simply but excellently written. I hope my niece likes it as much as I did.

Stunning artwork, the prose is a little underwhelming, but a nice message.

The text was fine. A poetic description of Friend Earth (as opposed to mother) and all the glorious things she does. The ways she helps, and sometimes the capricious ways she acts.

The illustrations are the shining star, here, though. They are animated, with clear-cut shapes and patterns, and lots of contrast. I want to be Earth's friend, too.
