I think book is interesting for historical reasons. It is an early paranormal romance book and I think it shows the line between romance and paranormal romance very well.
That being said, I was really disappointed with it. It was waaaay too much like just a generic romance novel for me. I like a little sex with in my story, as opposed to this book which had just a little story with all the sex (stuff).
The writing was also incredibly bad, with loads of repetition and inconsistent plot points.
Probably the most jarring was that it had a lot of story elements that were never really introduced. This certainly didnt feel like a first book in a series to me.
On the front of the book it clearly states under the title: the first dark-hunter novel. Yet GoodReads is listing this as number two.
All in all rather confusing and disappointing, but really a good historical reference.

Despite the constant head-hopping, this was really really an enjoyable book.

I read this just to see just why so many of these books are made. Well, I loved the story, of all the demon hunter/ vampire romance novels I've tried to read, this has to be the most compelling. I liked the actual mythology tied into it. I actually finished it.

Other than that I found the book just ok. The writing was pretty simple. The characters were shallow. The "romance" or should I just say there was no romance, just sex, anyway it was poor. I'm generally a sex scene skipper, especially a silly sex scene skipper, and in my humble opinion there were way too many silly sex scenes, then every time they even thought about each other, they just thought about sex. That just got old fast, and if I hadn't been hooked on the story, I probably would have put the book down.

Fun, silly, stupid, and smutty! Great guilty pleasure book with a few eye-rolling moments.

I listened to the audio version of this book, and the annoying narrator really made this more like a 2 star for me, but I was able to see the forest through the trees, which says a lot for this author. I am definitely going to keep going with the series, I will just be reading the books.

This was fun! It was fun to see the characters from the last book again.

This was just the thing i needed today. These two are adorable together.

Loved it. Looking forward to the next book!

It's an okay book.

Maybe I'll read the others in this series but is not a priority... Well.
