I read this as some preparation for a story concept I've got in mind and wanted to see how other authors managed it.
The tie into salem was a little overwrought, and the janitor-tools-as-weapons a little cheesy, but beyond that the story was actually pretty well told. The characters of Spencer and Daisy in particular were well realized and I loved them and their endearing flaws.
The concept was a little goofy but the story was definitely well told.

Not as good as other fantasy/magical series, but definitely good for 4th - 7th grade.

SUCH A GOOD BOOK! I don't even know where to start! This was one of the single most original ideas I've ever seen in any novel for any age genre. It was fast paced and exciting, with plenty of twists and turns that kept me turning the pages. I loved the characters and the imagination in this novel. All in all, if I could have given this book ten stars I would have =D Tyler Whitesides is an amazing author. I LOVED "Janitors" and can't wait for the next book in the series!

I started expecting the same ole magical take, but I was so pleasantly surprised with its creativity and cleverness! I laughed out loud a few times at the clever names of creatures and how they affect school children. So fun! I loved this story and I can't wait to read more of the adventure for Spencer and his family.

This was a fun and imaginative story about 2 kids who get wrapped up and entangled in a hidden worl of janitorial magic. Easy read and great fun for elementary aged kids.
