No sé.

It’s what The  Oxygen Theif wishes it could be. Some of the writing hit so perfectly, I really enjoyed this monologue

So it’s funny because I believe it does take real talent to write in a way that invokes such anger in your reader. Like, I’m sitting here, with my disgust fuelling me to turn each page.

This is a novel about an inexcusably narcissistic middle aged man, deluded by lust and self-loathing. A really pitiful human. But this man truly believes in his actions, feels that he is destined to be this awful person, and that hurting people is, in itself, the truest form of intimacy. Gross gross gross. But there are real men, fathers, brothers, sons, friends, like this walking the earth.

Lots of reviews have rated this poorly because the reader is disgusted by this individual. Hats off to you Kureshi.

Psychopathic. Or sociopathic? Or both.
