A little hokey at times, but all-around good fodder for my royalty-loving soul.

So sweet it made my teeth hurt, but sometimes I need that. It's nice to just have a story with characters that don't have hidden motive. Cute story, great for a vacation read.

DNF approximately 55%, so I won't rate it
It was adorable, then sickeningly sweet. Like seriously just too sweet for me I got an ad for this and it looked like a fun free ,,(with Kindle unlimited) read. And well, I guess I really need sarcasm/ snark, a touch of asshole, and well a bit (or a lot) of spice.

You know how there are popcorn movies - movies with no big message but just enjoyable? - I would use that to describe this book. It is a popcorn book, of the Hallmark flavor, but that doesn't mean it's not good. It was good but knock my socks off good. It's good enough for me to grab the next book and see what happens with the family but I could also see myself never getting into the sequels too. It's fine if you just stop but, if you want, you could continue the story.
The reason that I'm downgrading it to three stars is that the queen was WAY too over the top, even for being the evil villain. Also, editing was needed. The Prince of Wales is the automatic title for the heir to the throne and not the spare. It threw me out of the narrative every time it was used for Christian and it took a few beats for me to get back in. Also, King Arthur? I know it could happen in my lifetime - one of HRH Duke of Cornwell's names is Arthur and he could pick it when, God forbid, Her Majesty the Queen, leaves us - but it leaned too much into the Hallmark sweetness of the novel.
So, three popcorn buckets and a bag of M&Ms thrown in.

A whirlwind of epic proportions. How do you find true love, when you never know if they want you for yourself or for who you are? Well the internet of course.
These two have the truest purest love that you could ever ask for. Sure there road if filled with potholes and boulders trying to stop them. But doesn’t true love really concur all. I don’t know about real life but in this story it sure does.

I occasionally read royal romances and tried this author on the recommendation of someone whose writing I enjoy. This was... eh. I typically read clean/closed door romances- just personal preference- and this was NOT that. Regardless of that element, it didn't feel like there was enough realism to the characters & plot to help balance the fluff I expect in this kind of a book.
