I’ve read all the books in this series and love them. This one was no exception. I love the twists and turns and the story keeps you guessing. Highly recommend this book!

A book that is very excting and full of suspense, it's a real page turner.
This book had me hooked since the first pages and I'd to end it as soon as I could as I was really invested in the plot and the characters.
It was the first one I read in this series but I'd no problems in understanding the characters and their relationships.
The plot was very good and full of twists and turns.
Highly recommended!

Another really great Kendra Michaels book, and though I rated it a 5, I think that I'm getting a little bored with this series. I love Kendra as a character, and the others are good as well, but just like with the Eve Duncan series, it just gets old for me after a while. I'm not sure why. I read other long standing series (In Death comes to mind) and I'm always excited to read them and never disappointed. Though I was excited to read this, and while I did rate it well and wouldn't say I was disappointed, I'd say that I'm indifferent to the series as a whole now. It's just the same story wrapped up in a different package each time. Kendra is smart, smarter than all the FBI and the cops and everyone, so it's just the same old thing really.

That's not to say it's bad, because it isn't. It's very good and Kendra is a very likable and compelling character. I think I'm just getting bored with the stories. Of course, by the time the next one comes around, I'll forget that and want to read it. And I will mostly enjoy it, until I remember it's all the same thing. Maybe with them actually going elsewhere in the next one, it will provide a bit of difference.

Recommended to people who love interesting characters but don't mind a fairly predictable plot.

I love Kendra and company but they weren't enough to make me love this book. The plot wrapped up too quickly and neatly for me to enjoy.
SpoilerI am thrilled that Kendra & Adam Lynch finally hook up! Only took 6 books for that to happen!!
I will probably read book #7 because the epilogue makes it sound like things might actually progress.

I haven’t rolled my eyes at something so much since I was a teenager.

Formally blind, Kendra is so in touch with her other senses. This makes her notice details others don't and she's in high demand with the FBI. There is a serial killer at large and she's made herself a target. This was a face paced, action packed drama and I enjoyed every minute of it.

This book started out interesting. It is my first Kendra Michaels book, and the aspect of her being previously blind and really honing her senses so that she notices more than the average person intrigued me. I wish there was more of that. The secrets and cover-up with Brock had so much potential (the turn it took to the actual killer was a let-down and the actions of those involved didn't really make sense).

I liked the characters, but the dialogue was not always well done. It didn't always flow or sound real to me. This book also had one of the worst sex scenes I have ever read. I almost took off a star because it was so bad.

Overall I like Iris Johansen's other series better, although maybe it was just this book.

I won this book in a Goodreads Giveaway.

Thanks to the publisher (via Netgalley) for an advance e-galley in exchange for an honest review.

This book is so crazy fast-paced- there is not a wasted page as Kendra and Lynch rush to help the FBI with this dramatic case. The fascination with the things Kendra notices that others don't doesn't wane, and there is a very DRAMATIC EVENT partway through that thoroughly shocked me. The final showdown scene was heart-pounding. If you're craving a book that feels like an action movie, this is the one!

(6th in a series- while I think there are other books in the series that work fine as standalones, I think knowing the characters' backstories is more important for thorough enjoyment in this one.)
