A book that is very excting and full of suspense, it's a real page turner.
This book had me hooked since the first pages and I'd to end it as soon as I could as I was really invested in the plot and the characters.
It was the first one I read in this series but I'd no problems in understanding the characters and their relationships.
The plot was very good and full of twists and turns.
Highly recommended!

I'd actually rate this a 3.5. I really enjoy this series and the related ones by Iris Johansen. That said, I would strongly recommend beginning at the start of the series. This is the 6th book, and by far the least standalone of the series. I rated it lower than the other Kendra books because this one got a bit choppy at times, ventured more into the romance btw Kendra and Lynch and less into Kendra's skills.

Kendra Michaels was born blind but had a miraculous surgery to correct her vision in her early 20's. Spurred on by her no-nonsense mother, relying upon and developing her other senses while growing up, she learned to recognize clues to her surroundings. Once she gained her vision she found she was a real help to law enforcement, finding clues others couldn't using her other senses.

Love the word play between Kendra and Lynch. I also enjoy these books that don't include Eve. As much as I love her it is nice to have books without her. Good to see Kendra and Lynch's relationship develop.

This is romantic suspense, nothing more, nothing less. It was interesting enough to keep me reading this time to finish, but it took me borrowing it from the library several times.

Another really great Kendra Michaels book, and though I rated it a 5, I think that I'm getting a little bored with this series. I love Kendra as a character, and the others are good as well, but just like with the Eve Duncan series, it just gets old for me after a while. I'm not sure why. I read other long standing series (In Death comes to mind) and I'm always excited to read them and never disappointed. Though I was excited to read this, and while I did rate it well and wouldn't say I was disappointed, I'd say that I'm indifferent to the series as a whole now. It's just the same story wrapped up in a different package each time. Kendra is smart, smarter than all the FBI and the cops and everyone, so it's just the same old thing really.

That's not to say it's bad, because it isn't. It's very good and Kendra is a very likable and compelling character. I think I'm just getting bored with the stories. Of course, by the time the next one comes around, I'll forget that and want to read it. And I will mostly enjoy it, until I remember it's all the same thing. Maybe with them actually going elsewhere in the next one, it will provide a bit of difference.

Recommended to people who love interesting characters but don't mind a fairly predictable plot.
