I liked this one more than the first one but I could’ve done without the third act breakup/difficulties. It could’ve easily been avoided if he would’ve spoke up about how he was feeling

Okay I definitely enjoyed this one more than the their first book, I think there was more growth on both their parts. There’s still things I wasn’t a fan of, mainly the way the men speak to each other when it’s them. Like I get the whole “male locker room talk” shit but I think it was a bit much. Also, I still don’t like Eric as a character he’s just very self absorbed and flimsy, he gets a chapter and I honestly just skimmed it and read the dialogue.

The epilogue finally left with them on a solid good note. I liked that they had a mini happily ever after a little more than halfway through, then they went through more shit, and the way they came out the other end even stronger was a good way for them to go.

And finally, chapter 31 absolutely broke me. I was feeding my nephew and sobbing at the same time.

I finish it barely. I struggle the last half and honestly both characters need to learn to develop some character. Lex is awful in the last third and I hated Charlie most of this book. Will not be continuing the series.

I'm literally conflicted between rating this 3 ⭐️ or 4 ⭐️ so I'll be fair and say 3.5⭐️ but goodreads doesnt have half stars so i have to round up.

this book took me a while to get through, again it was kind of drawn out too much. But I still enjoyed it for the most part

It feels like the first half should’ve been the end of the first book and the second half could’ve been a novella.

Hated the cheating, the death and the grieving part. Absolutely hated! Oh, don’t forget about the kinda-rapey scene.
He hurt her too much, thank god he decided that he could raise the soon even if its not his. That was cute as hell.
Charlotte’s past and history was very hard to read, no way I could think that she got pregnant and the baby died.
Hated her mother, and lex’s dad for not telling him about her and her breakdown.
Overall, their story is great, their love is powerful, but his aloofness at the end of the book was out of place and not needed AT ALL.
MY HEART ACHES FOR JULIAN STILL. Not sure if I’m gonna read the next book, even though the other characters hold my heart.
