Sometimes I re-read a childhood favorite and think to myself, "why did I even like this?" But I'm happy to say that's not the case with the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe! I think I might like it even more now that I'm grown up and can understand the allegorical nature of the story.

The lion, the witch, and the wardrobe is the perfect bedtime story.
I have read this many times before and keep returning for nostalgia.
I love this story a lot, and even tho it is a children's story, I keep enjoying it. I hope to read this to my children if I ever have them.

I read this to the 11yo. He loved it, and says:
“I really liked it. It’s really cool and has a lot of magic. It’s a bit gruesome and has a lot of scary things and is a bit sad. I would recommend it for 9 years and up. I also like the language it uses, but it’s a bit weird sometimes - like using ‘queer’ in a bad way”
