Not nearly as wonderful as most by this winning team.
There was this kids’ library I went to and I read this lol

What a great story, and a fun way to demonstrate empathy and kindness to even a young child. (My enjoyment was only spoiled by the U.S. publishers' decision to "correct" some of the words to their American equivalent. When I buy this, I'll be sure to buy the U.K. edition.)

Not as good as the gruffalos child or the stick man, mainly as it doesn't rhyme as much but still a pleasant story with the usual gorgeous artwork of this series. Best for 3-4+ I think.
My class loved this book and want me to read it again and again!
I loved the rhyming in this so much, & it really made me laugh; I read this one to the children I work with whenever I can as it's definitely one of my favourites. I also like the moral of the story that tells children that they're great the way they are - and it encourages helping out your friends too.
Another beautiful story by Donaldson, kids love them and so do I.
