What a lovely story! Good use of "smart" to mean well-dressed - a nice introduction to multiple meanings of words.

This was cute. I loved the fact the giant gave away all his new stuff to those in need. My kids got a great lesson and rhymes!1

Sweet,endearing and funny. Children love the cumulative rhyme, and I love the whole story. It's about sharing without being "educational". Perfect book for circle time.

George, a giant with some scruffy clothes, purchases a spiffy set of new clothes. As he heads back home, he comes across various animals in need of help. At each meeting, he gifts them an article of clothing to help them...until he has no more spiffy clothes! He returns to the store, and finds his old clothes, which he now realizes are actually quite comfy, and he learns that he is the kindest giant around.
