Very sad at times but also very real and somewhat hopeful. Loved the characters, found them relatable, and loved the story that brought them together.

I rate the book: 3.5 ⭐️. I like the concept but I wish the plot had some type of movement or purpose. I liked the story of Emilie and Sara meeting but I wish the story progressed further… overall still pretty good.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC.

LaCour has written another stunner filled with absolutely gorgeous and evocative prose. I completely lost myself in this book--in the best way. I would recommend this to just about anyone.

Pride month pick that I would've enjoyed any time of the year! The colors and flavors of food, drink, florals, and interior design brought the book to life, and the characters had depth and complexity that made the story stick with me; I'm sad its over. I listened to the audiobook and did find the story lines a little bit confusing at times, especially in the beginning when I was getting to know everyone and was suddenly thrown from one main character's perspective to the other's.

The perfect book. It would be a dream to be able to write something like this.
