This should not have taken me a solid month to read. WAY too much political intrigue, not nearly enough treasure hunting, and all the bad guys seemed to blur together into one, even when they were sharing page time. Time to officially call it quits with the series, I'll go back and reread some of the earlier novels that were much better if I'm in the mood for this world again!

A brilliant book, my introduction to the Cotton Malone series. And I will surely be picking up more of these.
It starts off a bit slow and stretched that it took me a few days to get past first few chapters but boy does it pick up. Brilliant action packed with enough twists and background to keep you intrigued. Definitely worth a read.

Again I learn so much history from reading Berry's newest novel. The intrigue from his other books is alive again in this novel. The premise of being able to change the governing rules of congress or the possibility of having a second constitutional convention in order to bring about a more workable congress, certainly give one room for pause.
A great read.

On a similar vein to other Cotton Malone novels, I feel you needed a decent understanding of how American politics works to be fully on board the whole time. Hence three stars.

Good pacing, interesting premise with several groups working at cross purposes. One of the plot lines wasn't really as related to the main story as it seemed at first and was resolved earlier.

Really enjoyed reading this book.
I felt that the author took his time to develop the story and characters. Definitely did not feel a sense of being rushed through the book. Moreover, the ideas put forward were realistic (i.e. An ex-preseident being a senator) and the ideas were closer to the actual history.
a good read.

All of Steve Berry books in the Cotton Malone series are interesting, fun, and easy to read. The Lost Order was no exception.

This one was more like the earlier versions of the Cotton Malone series. I liked it very much and would recommend for historical fiction readers, but overall just too predictable.

An interesting and capturing read that kept my attention from beginning to end with some thrills and adventure, some mystery and some loveable characters. There were only a few parts that got so deep into the historical aspects that I got a little lost or less interested, but overall the storyline was great and the writing was very good!!!
