This series is truly getting better with each installment and I'm so sad that I have to take a break between reading this and the next book.

My least favourite of the Frieda klein series. Most of it is just a long ramble around the hidden sides of London, grim flats with polish workers, and implausibly getting childcare jobs with no references or background checks with Frieda situation getting worse and worse, of course.
It’s all rather contrived and can actually tell a couple are sitting writing and saying ‘what plot twist shall we write Now, what more misery can we heap on Frieda ? Oh I know, Let’s bung in a Few more kind hearted misjudged poles to save the day. ‘

Nothing happens for like 90% of this book. No intrigue, the mystery was nowhere to be seen. Just Frieda going places, hiding from the most incompetent polices ever, visiting her friends like the police is not after her. Wth was this
