Well, that started off with a shocking turn! I wasn’t expecting that and I was riveted throughout. This was very well written and the conclusion came as a shock.

This is the 5th book in the Frieda Kline series. Frieda is a psychiatrist in London who gets wrapped up in crime and emotional relationships with her found family group fully against her will. This one cannot be read as a stand-alone. Frieda's ex is murdered and she is the main suspect so she goes on the run to get a bad haircut and give me second hand anxiety by making so many terrible choices. I hated this book until the last 40 or so pages, and then I loved it. Which I think means that instead of writing a good mystery, they wrote a good conclusion and cliff hanger. I will be finishing this series but this one almost broke me. 2.5 stars.

The best one in the series so far, they just get better and better. Gripping from the start and a real page turner. Brilliant.

No, posledné diely série už trochu naťahujú moju suspension of belief ako gumičku a čakám kedy praskne. Chcela som viac príbehov o tom, ako Frieda pomáha Karlssonovi riešiť prípady a nie čítať o čím ďalej, tým menej pravdepodobných dobrodružstvách Friedy Klein. Ale nevadí, knihy sa stále čítajú veľmi ľahko a tie plot twisty, že kto je vrah - super! Dúfam, že moja gumička ešte vydrží :)

Forgot i read this, and gave it a 2.75 the first time, but the second time i was more in the mood. Just a nice detective novel, although frieda is a difficult character to empathise with (is that needed? Maybe not). Will read the rest of tbe series though
