The little kiss of romance was not disliked. Another great one and appreciated that this story ended in not so picture perfect way.

This seemed to have a few more twists than usual, but that didn't add to my enjoyment. It was a quick read and what I was looking for.

Another good one by Coben - didn't see the ending coming at all. If you like mysteries with recurring characters, the Bolitar series is a good one to start on.

I liked the previous book much better, but this is still classic Myron. This was a bit too complicated or intricate for my taste, and knowing where it goes at the beginning of the next book makes it worse. But I still love Myron and will keep reading.

These books are like candy - enjoyable, but too much at once makes you sick. There's a long wait for the next book in the series so hopefully it'll be a nice palate cleansing break.
The whole series is an exercise in enjoying situations if you can suspend disbelief, and the sardonic commentary sprinkled throughout is amusing, but it's also getting kind of tiresome with the same scenarios played again and again in minor variations.
The other thing that kept taking me out of just enjoying the story is the sentence structure: everything is a staccato simple sentence. Maybe less noticeable when reading than listening? But: "Myron opened the car door. He got in. The visor was up. He put in the CD. Abba played. (Sarcastic comment about being into modern music). He started the car." Not a direct quote, don't worry, but definitely the pattern.

The SADDEST of them all so far, I wasn't ready. Mr. Coben why?
