This is good REFERENCE material for the Blood and Ash and the Flesh and Fire series. I don't know why people are rating it so low. It literally says what it is in the description: "VISIONS OF FLESH AND BLOOD: a Blood and Ash/Flesh and Fire Compendium is a comprehensive companion guide for background, history, reader-favorite information, and reference materials." Read the description of books people. It is not a continuation of either series. There are a few short stories, mainly some adventures of Willa and also an entertaining interview with Kieran. The book reading order I obtained online suggested I read this before Flesh and Fire #3 and I found that it does contain a few spoilers when it comes to that series, so perhaps it would be better to read it after completing the Flesh and Fire series and books 1-5 of Blood and Ash.

📔 Finally picked this one up and I'm so glad I did. It's amazing that Jennifer put this together with all the info, and the bonus scenes. This is so truly for the fans and I love love love that!
📔 Everyone who has been wanting Miss Willa's Diary? Well there are definitely some dairy entries in here that you will be excited to read.
For all the fans who want more of our main leads of both series, we've got some bonus scenes in here too that I loved!
📔 If you need a good reminder on the series of the whole instead of doing a whole reread, this has got the synopsis of the series in here through multiple different point of views.
📔 So many details all put together here and it's really cool. I think I will also pick it up again when I need a reminder on things when the next book comes out.
Highly recommend if you love this series and want all of these things!

Fun to have if you have questions. I like the little inserts. Not really a read all the way through kind of book. But good for what it is.

I received an e-ARC from the author & publisher in exchange for an honest review. Review can also be found on *Milky Way of Books*
It is a rare chance to read a compendium of a fictional world. Make it a world made by my favorite Jennifer Armentrout and I am sold! What I need to stress here is the fact that this book is only a compilation of information and summaries of the characters' lives set in both prequel and main series, sparkled with extra short stories, interviews, and amazing art as also maps.
Well, technically it is Miss Willa writing everything who is also a character from the series and the author of the spicy diary Poppy loves to read. Through her words, we see how the mythology of the Primals and the gods was created and how the story of Sera, Ash, and Kolis (characters from the Flesh and Fire series) unfolded without giving spoilers if someone has not read the prequel series.
Personally, I laughed at the Kierran interview, and the stories Willa says about herself and her commentary on Poppy and Cas. The art for Poppy, Cas, and Kierran is top quality. My favorite was also that of Vonetta and Emil too! There are also some minor developments like letters addressed to characters and descriptions of the world.
Despite being a compendium it is very well structured and can be easily read. Needless to say it works as a perfect addition to both series because anyone can read the summary of the plot so far (in the time this review is written the final books of the prequel and main series have not been published yet). That way someone can enjoy both what they need to know and get the eye candy which is the art, maps, and Willa's steamy stories.
In conclusion, this is the perfect part that adds to the world-building of this massive series by Jennifer Armentrout and personally, I can not wait for the final books!
