Well, well, well. I believe obsession may cover it but obsessed/fanatic/lunatic might better describe what I feel for this series!

I don’t nut bust over every book in this series but I love the story and characters enough to reread each book with relish. This book will be no exception. I will come back to this series in a few months and enjoy the ups and down with a BFG on my face.

So it starts off with Cat getting a rather distressing message from her ghost/uncle, Don, which sends her on one of many quests. She ends up hooking up with a lot of people from her past to complete this first quest and the others in this story to come. She comes to terms that she needs all the help she can get.

I always debate how much to reveal without totally spoiling the surprises. I do warn there may be spoilers but even I have a line I don’t like to cross when I write a review. I will say there are a few heart stopping moments for Cat. Even though, she is undead. She can still be stunned.

I do believe the author did her very best to send this series up properly. I gathered this is the last book in the series. So if that is true this was one of the better conclusions to a series I have read in a long time. I really liked the action, emotion and storyline.

In conclusion there was no depth Cat and Bones’ love wouldn’t plunge in order to save each other (and I mean that in the most literal sense). There is no stronger bond between friends and I honestly adore this bunch to pieces. Kudos to Frost to giving this to us.

If the romance had its own soundtrack the title song(s)would be…a 3.5

3= Steady ‘n’ sweaty
“Neighbors know my name” –Trey Songz
4= Down ‘n’ dirty
“Bump and Grind” –R.Kelly

/Overall Rating
5 (would read another book by the same author, would recommend this book to friends, would reread book)

Great end to the series. Everything was resolved. But I am very sad to see this one end. I love cat and bones!

This series was kind of like the Sookie Stackhouse southern vampire chronicles for me - started out great then kind of went on too long. The whole introduction of Katie as Cat’s daughter was a little much for me. Probably could’ve ended the series without going into the whole Madigan experiment storyline...but alas. The ending seemed a little forced as well, oh we’ll just sail away for a long time and all will be fine! I admit after reading book 5 I read some other series before continuing to book 6, and again before book 7. Kinda glad the series is over so I can wrap this up and go onto new series!

As my hundreds upon thousands of extremely avid readers may be able to attest, after I read the first book in this series, I said I compared these books to trashy candy and said I could probably read the whole series in a month. A month later, I am eating trashy candy leftover from halloween and I have just finished the last book in the series. Just saying... I did it.

And though I may have been somewhat fueled by my desire to read it and get them over with, that wasn't my sole motivation in reading them all so quickly.

These books aren't deep or moving or overwhelmingly beautiful, but they hit the spot. All the halloween season desire I had to read a vampire romance novel has been satisfied by these books. (The following candy-inspired comparisons are my sugar-addled brain trying just a little bit too hard to be "clever." Bare with me.) They're not fine dining by any means, but cheap candy that is good enough for most. And like the five pieces of candy I just ate, these books have satisfied my sweet FANG (get it?), making the resulting wooziness almost worth it.

I feel like this comes off as mean. Like I'm always gonna come back for more milky ways and I'm prolly gonna read all those spin off books.

I really liked this final novel, I would have preferred a bit more of an epilogue but overall I really liked the ending and found the story interesting.

I freaking love this series!! Each book is 5 stars! I adore all the characters and adventures they have!!

A satisfying ending to the series. I will miss Cat and Bones.
emotional mysterious medium-paced

Sad to see an end to a series, but i am enjoying the spin off very much ❤ I will miss Cat and Bones.

Sadly... I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would.
A bit too predictable, too melodramatic at times, too many paper thin developments... I couldn't delve into the story or connect with the characters as much as I'd like, and the crazy aspects I used to eat up tasted kinda bland for me this time.

I'm not sure how I wanted the series to end, but it's fitting that Frost touches back on the race issue that had appeared since the first book for the final conflict. In the end, knowing and accepting one's self are the main themes of this series. Watching Cat's development and struggle with her identity has been an engaging, intense, and at times amusing experience. I can't say I've read too many heroines who is as determinedly homicidal as Cat.

I'm glad the series has concluded where it has. Overall, I've had a lot of fun with Cat and Bones.

Perhaps now is the time for a change in my reading preferences.

This was okay. Kind of the big grand finale, let's-get-everyone-back-together for the final book in the series. I'm not sure if I would've preferred it to be something different or not. I do think the series was over. Maybe a couple of books ago. That might explain why I had such a slow start on this one. It took me a while to get in to it and I could've really done without the A80 angle.
