The Diva Says Cheesecake is the 15th book in the Domestic Diva Mystery Series by Krista Davis. I've jumped around in this series, but it's consistently terrific and entertaining, and this new book is no exception. It is a well-plotted, absorbing, and fast-paced mystery with red herrings and misdirections, leading to a fun puzzle to sort out. The protagonist, Sophie Winston, is likable and intelligent. She has a delightful group of friends who usually have a part to play in helping her solve crimes, but one of them is the murder suspect this time. The friend group characterizations and relationships have been very well developed across the series and add to the cozy feeling. Its nice to spend time with them. Another aspect of the series I find charming is the advice column letters to Sophie and her friend/sometime rival Natasha at the beginning of each chapter, ending with lifestyle or entertaining tips. The setting is lovely Old Town, Alexandria, Virginia and Davis makes you feel like you're there. Amazing food is featured throughout but the cheesecake theme in this one really made me crave cheesecake. Thankfully, there are several delicious recipes at the end, including cheesecakes! Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books for the opportunity to review this ARC. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

This is a really good cozy mystery! It is well written with a great, lighthearted Murder mystery. The only thing that bugged me a bit about this one is that I jumped into this series on book 15, so I didn’t get as good of a chance to get to know the main characters and I had a hard time visualizing them. Overall, I would say this is a good book to read if you like cozy mysteries, just know that it might make you hungry with all the mentions of cheesecake!

I have read many titles in this series and this one did not disappoint. This is a series but may be read as a standalone. I love Sophie Winston and her sleuthing ways, what an original crime solver. This is one of those, curl up in a blanket and read, cozy mysteries With plenty of red herrings, cozy intrigue, and drama this installment does not disappoint. Between solving the murder and making her recipes, which are included, this is a delightful addition to this series. The quirky cast of side characters are a yummy side dish for sure. For lovers of a solid cozy mystery series, this will not disappoint. Pull up a chair, a slice of cheesecake, and dig into this delicious book!

The Diva Says Cheesecake is the 15th book in the A Domestic Diva Mystery series and boy was it a good one! I haven’t read any of the books in the series before and Krista Davis wrote this book so well that I felt I didn’t miss out on anything regarding character arcs and background stories. And so, being able to fully enjoy a good mystery in and of itself is a huge positive in my books.
What I especially liked in this book was the main character and amateur sleuth,Sophie worked with the local police in their investigation. This helped keep the plot at a good pace and the momentum of the investigation was perfect. The characters were all fun and mannerisms were flushed out enough with the novel that I got a good grasp of the dynamics between all the main players.
I was able to guess the killer for once but that doesn’t mean the red herrings weren’t good as they did make me question my sleuthing hunches along the way.
Overall, a great cozy mystery that allows you to start the series right in the middle and be entertained.

Excellent new addition to the Diva series. Enjoyed seeing the neighborhood chipping in when there is a tragedy even when one of the neighbors is the primary suspect.

A cozy mystery series can be a great gift, or an exercise in tedium. The Diva Says Cheesecake! is the fifteenth volume in the series by Krista Davis and each book gets a little bit better and a little bit more enjoyable. Davis has managed to add supporting characters to the world of Culinary Diva Sophie Winston that make the community of Old Town in Alexandria, Virginia a joy to revisit with each book. Sophie is an independent woman with dear friends and a thriving event planning business. She has flirtations and romances, but the men in her life do not take over the storyline. I highly recommend reading all of the books in this series.

Always love Domestic Diva Mystery. What I love most are the questions and answers at the beginning of each chapter. Either Sophie or Natasha gives domestic advice. These two are old classmates and sometimes rivals. Sophie loves to eat and is an event planner. Natasha had a stint in beauty pageants and now has a local TV show. They have competing domestic advice columns.
It's almost the Fourth of July in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia. The gang is getting ready for the town's summer festivities. Queen of Cheesecake, Bobbie Sue hires Sophie to handle a private party but her husband Tate, owner of an upscale restaurant is found murdered in his restaurant's cellar. There are many suspects and Sophie is asked to help find the real killer.
There are many yummy bonus recipes at the end of the book. I'm interested in Japanese Cheesecake, drools...
