Poor fox. He just can't seem to get it right. When he goes over to the farm he's expected, but not feared. No one is afraid of him, not the pig, not the rabbit, not the chickens. And the guard dog doesn't even work up a sweat about seeing him in the farmyard. Even help from the wolf doesn't work. Until the wolf helps him distract the farmyard dog so that the fox can steal some eggs. But then the wolf thinks that they should hatch the eggs to have something more substantial to eat. Too bad the chicks think that the fox is their mother.
A cute story that went on a bit long. I thought from the cover that this was a children's book but would put it at a slightly more advanced reader. The jokes/story went on a little long but this might be fun for a somewhat reluctant reader who would be able to understand the jokes and read the short snippets.

An entertaining graphic novel about a fox who bites off more than he can chew by pretending to be the mother of three rambunctious chicks.

A fox steals chicks from a hen when they are still eggs. When they hatch they think he is their mother. At first planning to eat them with the wolf, the fox gets attached to them and refuses to let them get eaten. Then hens back on the farm have been training to attack a fox when they see him again.

This book is absolutely adorable! I got it entirely for the art, since I'm not usually big on kid's stories, but the story was adorable too. In a nutshell a pathetic little fox that no animal on the farm fears falls in with a wolf and decides to steal some eggs to hatch them and let the chicks grow big enough to eat. But the wolf won't do any of the hard work of looking after the chicks, so it's our pathetic little fox that has to raise them and keep them alive until it's time to eat them. It's his journey of trying to be a big mean beastie until he discovers that there are better things in life. It's just a kid's comic but even someone my age (neither a kid nor a parent) can relate to both sides shown here. There's a surprising meaning to it and it's lighthearted the whole way through.

I had a hugely stressful appointment. I brought this book along as a distraction and was wonderfully surprised by how caught up in the story I became. The storyline kept me chuckling and the illustrations were fun. Definitely a fun, light read!

Çok keyifli bir kitap, hem çocuklara hem de yetişkinlere uygun. Çevirisi, son yıllarda çıkan pek çok grafik romanın aksine gayet başarılı.

"Big Bad Fox" is adorable, heartwarming and absolutely hilarious. Poor Fox can't catch a break - no matter how many times he raids the farm, he always gets the crap beaten out of him by the hens. The Wolf convinces him to steal some eggs so that they can eat the chicks, but when the chicks hatch, they're convinced Fox is their mom. Hijinks ensue. Loved the watercolor style artwork and the overabundance of snark. Probably my new favorite graphic novel.
