The Big Bad Fox by Benjamin Renner

5.0

This book is absolutely adorable! I got it entirely for the art, since I'm not usually big on kid's stories, but the story was adorable too. In a nutshell a pathetic little fox that no animal on the farm fears falls in with a wolf and decides to steal some eggs to hatch them and let the chicks grow big enough to eat. But the wolf won't do any of the hard work of looking after the chicks, so it's our pathetic little fox that has to raise them and keep them alive until it's time to eat them. It's his journey of trying to be a big mean beastie until he discovers that there are better things in life. It's just a kid's comic but even someone my age (neither a kid nor a parent) can relate to both sides shown here. There's a surprising meaning to it and it's lighthearted the whole way through.
