Read my full thoughts on this book and hundreds more over at Read.Write.Repeat.

Bloody and twisted, this thriller lives up to the standard of modern detective novels with ease. If you like detective novels, I'm sure you'll like this one. It fits the bill well. For me, it served as a reminder why I don't often read these types of books and, when I do, I seek out ones that are better crafted or more outside the typical plot structure.

Historia trilladísima. Si eres fan de la serie "Mentes criminales" sabrás por dónde va a tirar la historia porque sigue la estructura de un capítulo de la serie.

Aburrido y predecible.

AAHHHHH

this was so so so so so frustrating to read. It was GLARINGLY obvious that every woman in this book was written by a man.

Would not recommend

It's a good story, and second part of the book is a real page-turner.

Even though, I think that Saul Black a.k.a. Glen Duncan should focus on more gothic and horror genre: The Killing Lessons are good but they are pretty average quality in this genre; on the other side The Last Werewolf trilogy is something else and a real top of that genre.

having said that, I will read second book in this series - it's worth of time and a good read.

Brilliant, spooky, and the kind of horror that sneaks up behind you and gooses you when you least expect it. I've not had nightmares from a book since I was much younger and first discovering Stephen King. Well, until Killing Lessons. Bravo.

After reading this, I discovered Saul Black is Glen Duncan. I have some of his books on the "to read" shelf. I suppose I ought to move them up now, eh?

I’m rating this book a three star because I was so bored during the first half. Although, I did thoroughly enjoy the second half. I could really appreciate the gore and grittiness that happened in the second half. Plus I LOVED how the main bad guy’s (I forget his
Spoilername and alias) childhood trauma connected to his modus operandi (M.O.)
!
I found the multiple POVs confusing and I had almost DNF’d this book. With all of that in consideration, I think a three star review is fair.

This was a really great thriller.

Sick and twisted in all the right ways, it definitely had me engrossed from the first chapter.

The only thing that I struggled with was the run on sentences

not a story that'll stick with me but still a more sharply descriptive thriller than I've read in a while
