I loved this one!! I gobbled it up in one day because I just couldn't put it down. I loved all the main cast of characters. How could anybody not swoon over hunky single father rancher Tripp. Just the way he is with his daughter will make anyone want to snap him up. He does have a grumpy disposition though, but he has his reasons. Having Charlotte in town to take of her grandma throws Tripp off his game, because there is just something about that city girl that gets Tripp's motor running. My heart melted with the moments between Charlotte and little Gracie. Gracie is too adorable with a kind heart. Things get quite steamy between Charlotte and Tripp, but can Tripp let down his protective walls enough in order to let Charlotte in? Or is he too closed off at the possibility of more? The epilogue was the perfect touch to end this one in my opinion. It left me with a happy heart and a smile on my face.

I think I'm becoming a fan of cowboys! This is a first read of Joya Ryan for me and I like her writing style. This was a shorter read but a perfect length for the story.

I was worried I wasn't going to like Charlotte. She's a city girl heading to the country to help her grandma's farm while she recovers from ankle surgery. Usually a city girl attempting farm work is disastrous. I really liked that the author gave her a backbone to learn the work and accomplish it successfully. Her use of YouTube videos to learn how to do things was hilarious and brilliant.

I loved almost everything about Tripp. He was a great single dad, very protective of his daughter. When he wasn't trying to keep Charlotte away from his daughter, he was charming and hot. I can't really blame him for trying to keep Gracie from falling for random woman, so he gets a pass for that. When he failed keeping them apart, the interactions with Charlotte and Grace were adorable.

Overall a shirt, cute and fun read. ARC provided by NetGalley.

I enjoyed this one. It's a typical Brazen novel; you know what to expect when you pop one open.
It was cute. I would have liked it a little longer and maybe had a tad more Gracie in it. Tripp was gettin' fired up about Gracie and Charlotte hanging out but there wasn't a whole lot of it so it would've been nice to have that included.

Sept. 2017: reread. Why do you have to rate a book you already read?

It's been quite awhile since I read a Joya Ryan book and I picked one heck of a book to start back with. Of course, the minute I saw this small town, country, opposites attract book, I knew I had to have it. I pretty much didn't even need to read the blurb to know it was for me. Once I did read the blurb and realized that Tripp was a single dad to boot, I was even more all over it. I would've read this one in one sitting if it wasn't for that pesky thing called work, but I really couldn't stop thinking about it until I finished it.

Tripp and Charlotte were both great characters. Tripp was a little on the grumpy, closed off side and I do love that in my heroes. It's so much fun to watch them fall and begin to open up. He was such a good father and I loved the scenes with him and his daughter, Gracie. Later, it became even better once Charlotte was introduced into the equation. (Plus I can't forget Tripp's brothers. I can't wait for their stories!)

This was a fun read with several feels along the way. I loved the chemistry between Tripp and Charlotte from the very start. Opposites attracted in the best possible way with these two! Their passion was off the charts from their first meeting and only got better as time went on. It was great to follow along with Tripp and Charlotte as they got to know each other and find something real.

The Rancher and the City Girl was a great start to a new series I'm already obsessed with. I can't wait for the next book!

FAVORITE QUOTES

She wasn't successful enough—yet—to be "accomplished," and wasn't creative enough to be "small-business hipster woman." She was also too blunt to be ladylike, and too prudish to be a vixen.

"You wear the hat, you better be prepared to wear the man?"

Was this how cowboys got their ladies in Wyoming? Lay them out on their truck behind a historic building and eat them for dinner? If so, she could get on board with how things were done around these parts.

There was a hell of a lot of magic floating around his ranch, and it was all thanks to a city girl.

Ms. Ryan proves there's more to romance than a sexy romp. It's the story behind the romance that delivers that microburst of emotion. That powerful blast that hits like an arrow to the heart. The Rancher and the City Girl is more than the story of an opposites attract relationship. It's travels into the uncharted territory of bromance and fatherhood. There can be nothing more adorable than a besotted dad and his irresistible bond with his little girl. All of these elements merge into a second chance expedition that will bring on a lot of laughter, a few tears and the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

**I received a copy of The Rancher and the City Girl from Brazen and Net Galley in exchange for a voluntary and honest review**

The Rancher and the City Girl by Joya Ryan is such a fantastic book that you'll laugh and feel how hard Charlotte tries to help her Grammy after she has breaks her leg but she knows nothing about helping her with the farm. Thank goodness for You Tube, and gives each chore a good college try before feeling the agony of defeat. But from the first day when she meets her neighbor, Tripp whose raising his 6 year old daughter in his own there's an attraction that just simmers between them. Even though after meeting later at the bar in town and they take it to the next stage, Charlie feels like she'll never be good enough. But he loves his little girl and will make sure that no woman will ever hurt her again.

Tripp is raising his daughter, Gracie will The help of two friends Bo and Cash. But something is missing, love for both of them. When he sees Charlotte struggling with her overheated car he wastes no time trying to fix it which of course leads to a first date. As she learns more about farming and wonders does she want to stay, Will she stay? Will they stay both are if what they have will work ? As a Lifetime member of Girl Scouts, I love how it was written into the story. I just loved this book and hope that Bo and Cash will get their own stories.

This book was a combination of funny and naughty. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. My only issue with it was I felt the hero needed to grovel more.

This was a quick, sweet, entertaining romance. That drew me in from the very start and it stayed that way throughout. Mainly because the characters were so likable. And not just the main two Tripp and Charlotte. Who shared a spark and a few hot moments. But Tripps daughter Gracie who is a real cutie and his two best friends Bo and Cash. Who both added a touch of fun. Along with unsolicited advice, opinions and tips on Tripps love life. And the story itself was really enjoyable to read. Which is why I would recommend it to others. Especially if you enjoy a good Cowboy Romance with a guaranteed happy ending.
