The Rancher and the City Girl by Joya Ryan
4.0
I think I'm becoming a fan of cowboys! This is a first read of Joya Ryan for me and I like her writing style. This was a shorter read but a perfect length for the story.
I was worried I wasn't going to like Charlotte. She's a city girl heading to the country to help her grandma's farm while she recovers from ankle surgery. Usually a city girl attempting farm work is disastrous. I really liked that the author gave her a backbone to learn the work and accomplish it successfully. Her use of YouTube videos to learn how to do things was hilarious and brilliant.
I loved almost everything about Tripp. He was a great single dad, very protective of his daughter. When he wasn't trying to keep Charlotte away from his daughter, he was charming and hot. I can't really blame him for trying to keep Gracie from falling for random woman, so he gets a pass for that. When he failed keeping them apart, the interactions with Charlotte and Grace were adorable.
Overall a shirt, cute and fun read. ARC provided by NetGalley.
