What a breathtaking pageturner of a thriller!
I adore everything Barclay writes but this was just next level. The plot is engaging, the pacing is perfect and I loved getting to know the different characters introduced to us. You're invested in each and every one of them as well as their little subplots. You really think you know what's happening until the plot twists hit you.
It's all beautifully spun together and I loved how it all clicked and made sense in the end leaving me shocked. I'd honestly say go into this without trying to find much of what it's about. Just know that it's a thriller about a dying rich man trying to find his children and connect with them as they start disappearing and getting killed off.
I promise you're in for a wonderful ride!

The best Linwood Barclay I've read so far! One of my favourite authors.

For the majority of this book I thought it was going to be a five star read. I love the way the plot unfolds. I do think it’s a bit longer than it needs to be and the near ending was a bit chaotic. Overall, a really good book. I’ll definitely read more from this author.

Find You First by Linwood Barclay--This book is fun but somewhat disjointed. It tries to manufacture a mystery from a tech CEO, a pedophile, and some mercenaries, but fails to build enough connective tissue in the process. Storylines running in parallel that comes together at the end don't work well here, and as a general matter, I never got invested enough in the narrative. Sideways thumb.

3 1/2 stars. Entertaining and suspenseful, but not especially noteworthy.

I’m a bit disappointed. It was good but not as exciting as I expected it to be since it was billed as a “thriller”. I think a lot of that had to do with the timeline fluctuations. One chapter someone was killed by assassins and a few chapters later they were meeting their sibling for the first time, obviously before they were killed. It kind of took the excitement out of what was going to happen next since I didn’t know if I was current or in a section that had already happened. I guessed one of the major twists rather early on though I read on to get to the whys and hows. There were a few surprises left and it picked up a bit in the last third of the book, feeling more thriller like. Ultimately, it was a good book but it didn’t blow me away.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for the ARC of this book.
Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Great plot, interesting characters and fast paced. I flew through this in a couple of sittings. Definitely a recommended read ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

2.5 - Great if you need something to start, skim, and finish on the plane. Could have been 150 pages shorter to tighten the action (and scale back on some truly swampish dialogue), nevertheless had some fun twists if you fully suspend your disbelief.

This is my second Linwood Barclay novel, after Elevator Pitch, and I am definitely a convert.
This is a suspenseful cat and mouse story with interesting characters, and a great concept.
Just like with Elevator Pitch, Barclay has written a very fast-paced, readable book. It's what the term page-turner was invented for!
