Review To Come...
I have to admit that these books are very fun to read. I think that they are good mysteries and are very engaging. Due to them being really short and the audiobooks also being quite short, they can be read in a couple of days or hours.
I really liked the characters that were introduced in the book and the whole mystery surrounding the cult and Lumikki's sister. I found that although the cult idea was quite a cliche, in that it matches a lot of other ideas of real-life cults, I was still intrigued by the plot to read through.
I also liked Lumikki as a character. I think that she is a really good heroine and I think that she is a great character for this series. I feel like we do see her grow and change throughout the book and the series and the way that she is able to connect with people.
We also get more about Lummiki's boyfriend, Blaze in this book which is where my problems lie. Blaze is transgender and the way that he is spoken about in this book is horrible trans rep. I wanted to finish this book because I have heard no one talk about it. He is deadnamed repeatedly throughout the book and there is so much about the gender reassignment surgery that it rubbed the wrong way. This book is translated obviously so I wonder if this was a problem but the fact that it was included is still highly problematic.

"Once upon a time, there was a girl with a secret.
Once upon a time, there were two girls with secrets they didn't tell each other.
They were from the same family, a family of secrets."
Another fun twisted mystery story about Lumikki. Silly Lumikki thought she'd got to Prague on a vacation. Of course, Lumikki can't vacation - because no matter what, trouble will find her. This time, in the form of a long lost sister, Lumikki must try to dodge her way through the truth and the lies to try to save a part of her life she's only starting to remember.
This one is so short, I wish it had been longer. I did love learning about Blaze and look forward to learning more.

As it is common in trilogies, the second book was worse. Prague was beautiful and now it is on my bucket list. I even started liking Snow White (more likely she grew on me) which is unexpected. I enjoyed that blast from the past and that we got to see her romantically involved with someone but that romance was cringey, her lover seemed and sounded a lot like a pervert rapist. AVOID AVOID AVOID! Also, I still ship Elisa and Snow White. Lenka. I hated her every single moment. She's a psycopath, the author tries really hard to makes us like her and I never felt a single emotion for her other than disgust. I wasn't even surprised by her revalation at the end, but I honestly think she should have stayed dead. Also, on book one SW hunted a drug cartel, a corrupted cop that was high on the ranks was involved and the villains were menancing. Now what? A power hungry journalist, a cult full of lunatics that pose no real threat and a clueless man who has no idea what is really going on and seems like the Big Man? Give me a break. Honestly, the rating would have been lower. but damn this is such a page turner!

There's a lot of focus on the main character's former relationship in this one. The mystery aspect with the cult could have been a lot more front and center. It felt like the two plot lines were rather disjointed and would have created a more engaging story if they were more interwoven like in the first book. About halfway through the book it starts to get better, but I may not have continued reading if it hadn't been for how much I liked the first book.

I’d like to start this review by thanking the author, publisher and Netgalley for allowing me to read the book in exchange for a totally honest and unpaid review
This is the second book in the Lumikki Anderson (Snow White) trilogy and it sees Lumikki in Prague on holiday, to recover from what happened in the first book, where she meets a girl a couple of years older than her who claims she’s her sister. Although this book was slightly more slow moving than the first book I still thoroughly enjoyed it and loved the authors character plot building equally as much as I did in the first book.
Salla managed to build Lumikki’s character more by introducing the new character of Zelenka a young woman who Continue reading →

The second story in the thrilling Nordic crime series The Snow White Trilogy, an international success published in 52 territories worldwide and soon to be a Hollywood film. 'Fans of Nesbø and Larsson won't be disappointed' Publishers Weekly Lumikki Andersson may be innocent, but she's no Snow White . . . Three and a half months have passed since Lumikki was left for dead in a snowdrift, a bullet wound in her thigh and frostbite creeping into her skin. But the scorchingly hot streets of Prague in summer provide a welcome contrast to that terrifying time, and now Lumikki just wants to move on - forget the events of the past year - and escape her parent's oppressive concern. She's alone again, which is just how she likes it. But Lumikki's peaceful solitude is about to be shattered. She is approached on the street by a nervous young woman, who, unbelievably, thinks she might be Lumikki's long-lost sister. Lumikki is unconvinced - although Zelenka's story seems to ring true, there's something weird about her. Something jumpy, and suspicious. And it turns out Lumikki is right to be wary, as Zelenka is part of a dangerous religious cult. On the run for her life again, Lumikki must once more draw on her all her powers of resolve and strength if she is to survive.
